Cracked spring wheat, cracked brown rice, oat bran and toasted wheat germ.


Preparation: On stove top bring 3 cups water (and optional ¼ to ½ tsp salt) to rapid boil, add 1 cup cereal, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 4 to 5.

Variations: Steep overnight, cooks in 5 minutes in the morning. For richer, try substituting milk for water. Try adding grated nuts, dried fruit or honey to taste.
Microwave: Put ingredients in over-sized bowl. Cook on med-high for 5-8 minutes per serving.

Tasty Hint: Substitute cooked Rice River Cereal for about a quarter of the flour used in your specialty bread mix recipe ... adds taste and texture.
